In 2014, U.S. News & World Report ranked the 10 specialties in the top 10 in the country, and ranked the hospital overall as No. 1 in the country along with Boston Children's Hospital. The 480-bed nonprofit is also a teaching hospital and employs more than 10,000 people across more than 50 locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Added benefits: CHOP provides up to $4,000 in assistance for undergraduate courses or up to $5,250 for graduate study per academic year after one year of employment for most full-time employees. Every year 20 scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 are awarded to clinical staff members who intend to further their education. CHOP also offers college coaching to help employees and their dependents with the admissions process.
