Meet the organization: The Ambulatory Surgical Center of Stevens Point is a free-standing surgical center located in central Wisconsin that was developed by a small group of local physicians in 2006. Specialists at the center perform approximately 110 surgeries a month, and the center has 20 employees.
Added benefits: In addition to traditional benefits, the ASC offers a profit-sharing plan, free annual flu vaccines, flexible schedules and employee-driven wellness programs throughout the year. To reward employees, the ASC owners provide a complimentary monthly lunch, a recognition gift to all employees during nurses week and gift certificates at Christmas time. To reward years of service, the ASC provides gift certificates for achieving milestones. In 2014, the surgical center reached a significant milestone of 10,000 surgical cases since opening. To celebrate, employees and spouses enjoyed a special recognition event and all employees received a logo embroidered fleece jacket.
