Mark Laret. CEO of UCSF Health (San Francisco). Mr. Laret's healthcare career started at Los Angeles-based UCLA Medical Center, where he held several positions between 1980 and 1995. He served as CEO of UC Irvine Medical Center from 1995 to 2000, when he joined UCSF Medical Center as CEO. During his years at the helm of UCSF Medical Center, which includes Benioff Children's Hospital, he led the nonprofit medical center from a $60 million annual loss in 2000 to a $70 million annual gain in five years.
