Kate Walsh. President and CEO of Boston Medical Center. In 2010, Ms. Walsh was appointed president and CEO of Boston Medical Center, a health system that generates annual operating revenue of $2.8 billion. With her oversight, the private, nonprofit, 487-bed academic medical center and its Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan focus on the community and provide insurance and care to nearly 300,000 low-income patients. Under her direction, BMC launched its campus redesign plan and developed the Boston ACO. Before joining BMC, Ms. Walsh served as executive vice president and COO of Brigham and Women's Hospital. She is a member of the Boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the Boston Public Health Commission and the Massachusetts Hospital Association.
