Robert C. Garrett. CEO of Hackensack (N.J.) University Health Network. Mr. Garrett has held his current position at the helm since 2009. Previously, he was also president and CEO of Hackensack University Medical Center, the system's flagship hospital. He stepped down from that role in April. Also this year, under Mr. Garrett's leadership, HackensackUNH announced a partnership with Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J., to create a private school of medicine. Mr. Garrett's healthcare leadership prowess has earned him recognition, as NJBIZ ranked him as the most powerful healthcare leader on its Power 50 Health Care list this year.
