Nicholas Wolter, MD. CEO of Billings Clinic. Appointed CEO of Billings Clinic in 1997, Dr. Wolter oversees the largest health system in the northern intermountain Rocky Mountain States, comprising an acute care hospital, multiple regional clinics, a long-term care facility and a multispeciality physician group practice. Board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine, he first joined the system in 1982 as a critical care medicine and pulmonary physician. The Medical Group Management Association named him Physician Executive of the Year in 2004 and he is a former member of the boards of directors of the American Hospital Association and the American Medical Group Association.
