James Davis. President and CEO of University Health Care System (Augusta, Ga.). Mr. Davis has led the system since 2010. Under his leadership, University Health Care has acquired several physician practices and a regional hospital as part of its growth strategy. Mr. Davis has kept a focus on quality, resulting in University Hospital maintaining Magnet designation for nursing excellence and receiving an "A" grade for patient safety on The Leapfrog Group's most recent scorecard. University Hospital, the only nonprofit community hospital in the region, anchors the University Health Care System.
