Gary Shorb. CEO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (Memphis, Tenn.). Mr. Shorb originally joined Methodist Le Bonheur in 1990 as executive vice president. Since joining, he worked his way up to becoming president and CEO in 2001, a role in which he served until he became CEO in May 2014. Prior to working for Methodist, Mr. Shorb served as president of the Regional Medical Center in Memphis for four years. He has held several non-healthcare-related jobs as well, including project engineer with Exxon and a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Shorb is also very active in the community, serving on numerous boards including those for the National Civil Rights Museum, the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce, the University of Memphis Board of Visitors, the Foundation of Evangelism and St. John's United Methodist Church Administrative Council.
