Paul Rothman, MD. CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine (Baltimore). Dr. Rothman became CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine in 2012 and serves as dean of the medical faculty and vice president for medicine at Baltimore-based The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Under his leadership, Johns Hopkins Medicine has grown into an $8 billion global enterprise operating six academic and community hospitals. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. Rothman spent eight years at Iowa City-based University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine as head of internal medicine, dean of the medical school and leader of its clinical practice plan. He was elected to the National Academy of Medicine, formerly known as the Institute of Medicine, in 2016.
