In 2009, Dr. Noseworthy became president and CEO of Mayo Clinic, overseeing more than 63,000 employees who care for 1.3 million patients annually. Mayo Clinic includes hospital campuses in Rochester, Minn., Phoenix and Jacksonville, Fla., with more than $600 million dedicated to capital projects in 2016. Before taking the helm at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Noseworthy spent three years as Mayo Clinic's medical director for development and vice chair of Mayo Clinic Rochester's executive board. A neurologist by training, Dr. Noseworthy spent nearly a decade as Mayo Clinic's neurology department chair and was editor-in-chief of Neurology, the official peer-reviewed journal of the American Academy of Neurology, for two years.
