Advocate Health Care (Downers Grove, Ill.). Advocate Health Care became an ACO in 2010 after entering the agreement with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, the first of its kind for the payer. In summer 2012, Advocate Health Care's ACO joined the Medicare Shared Savings Program and in performance year 2015 realized $72 million in cost savings, ranking No. 3 nationally of 392 participating ACOs.
