Ronald DePinho, MD. President of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston). Prior to being appointed the fourth full-time president of MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. DePinho spent 14 years at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where he was founding director of the Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science, and the Harvard Medical School in Boston, where he was a professor in the department of medicine and an American Cancer Society research professor. He is a former member of the board of directors of the American Association for Cancer Research, is co-founder of several biotechnology companies and is internationally recognized for contributions to basic and translational research in cancer, aging and age-associated degenerative disorders.
