As president and CEO of Trinity Health, he oversees an 88-hospital system with a $15.8 billion budget spanning 21 states. He helped launch the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation in 2010 and was its first director. Dr. Gilfillan's prior positions include president and CEO for Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa., senior vice president for Bethesda, Md.-basedCoventry Health Care and multiple executive positions with Independence Blue Cross.
