L. Reuven Pasternak, MD. CEO of Stony Brook (N.Y.) University Hospital. As CEO and vice president for health systems of Stony Brook University Hospital, Dr. Pasternak oversees 597 licensed beds, more than 5,500 employees and over 1,000 affiliated physicians. Before joining Stony Brook in 2012, he was CEO of the Falls Church, Va.-based Inova Fairfax Hospital and executive vice president of academic affairs for the health system. Dr. Pasternak's other prior administrative positions include executive vice president and CMO of Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and vice chair for clinical affairs and the department of pediatrics and healthcare policy and management at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. He holds an MBA from Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore.
