The program, UCLA / Orthopaedic Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, provides orthopedic services beyond UCLA Medical Center through affiliations with the Veterans Administration Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, the Orthopaedic Institute for Children and Shriners Hospitals for Children in Los Angeles. UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital is also connected to one of the largest and most productive orthopedic research facilities in the nation — The J. Vernon Luck, Sr., MD Orthopaedic Research Center. U.S. News & World Report ranked UCLA Medical Center No. 18 in the nation for orthopedics for 2016-17.
