St. Cloud (Minn.) Hospital. Since the Sisters of the Order of St. Benedict founded St. Cloud Hospital in 1886, it has grown from a small, community hospital to a comprehensive high-quality regional medical center. St. Cloud's Hospital had infection rates below 1 percent for elective total hip and knee replacements in 2015, and earned the No. 32 spot on U.S. World & News Report's Best Hospitals for Orthopedics for 2016-17. A designated Blue Distinction Center+ for Knee and Hip Replacement, surgeons at St. Cloud Hospital Bone & Joint Center perform more than 1,200 hip and knee replacements annually. The hospital has a Magnet designation for nursing excellence.
