Eisenhower Medical Center (Rancho Mirage, Calif.). Eisenhower Medical Center is a 463-bed nonprofit hospital situated in the Coachella Valley, where President Dwight D. Eisenhower, the hospital's namesake, lived out part of his retirement. The Eisenhower Orthopedic Center of Excellence is staffed by board-certified orthopedic surgeons whose experience span sports medicine, total joint replacement, spine surgery, hand and foot disorders, pediatric orthopedics and orthopedic trauma. The Magnet-accredited hospital is among the nation's top 100 for orthopedic care, according to CareChex's 2017 rankings, and it has been recognized as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement, and U.S. News & World Report rated it as high performing in hip and knee replacement for 2016-17.
