Washington Regional Medical Center (Fayetteville, Ark.). The Total Joint Center at Washington Regional includes surgeons and staff who focus on helping joint replacement patients. The center participates in Project Joints, a program recommended by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement; utilizing evidence based preventive practices recommended to cut down on the occurrence of post-operative infection. The center's comprehensive program also has an educational component called Joint Camp. U.S. News & World Report ranked Washington Regional high performing in hip replacement and knee replacement in its common care ratings. Healthgrades also recognized Washington Regional for excellence in joint replacement and spine surgery, and named it among the nation's top 100 hospitals for orthopedic surgery. Additionally, it was ranked No. 26 in the nation for orthopedic surgery by CareChex.
