UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital (Santa Monica, Calif.). The UCLA/Orthopaedic Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is an alliance between UCLA Health and Orthopaedic Hospital that started in 1998. The program is ranked among the best in the nation for orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report: The publication ranked Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital as the No. 8 adult orthopedic program in the U.S. for 2015-16. UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica is also a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement. The UCLA/Orthopaedic Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is also the "practice of choice" for the UCLA athletic teams.
