Duke University Hospital's heart care program comprises some of the best cardiology specialists in the U.S. The hospital also is recognized by HHS as one of the nation's largest heart transplant programs. For the last 20 years, the hospital has been named one of the top 10 hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report. The hospital was ranked No. 6 in the U.S. for 2015-16. U.S. News & World Report also recognized the hospital as high-performing for heart failure and heart bypass surgery in its common care ratings this year.
