UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles). The Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCLA was designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute in 1967. It is one of the largest cancer centers in the country, with more than 450 physicians and scientists handling more than 156,000 patient visits per year. It is a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers, and U.S. News & World Report ranked UCLA Medical Center as one the No. 6 hospital in the country for cancer care for 2015-16.
