Ranked among the top 25 best cancer centers in the country for 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report, Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health is both a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers. Established in 1978, it is the only comprehensive cancer center in the San Diego region and is currently constructing the Jacobs Medical Center, which will feature up to 108 private beds for patients with any type of cancer.
