NYU Langone's National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center, the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center, is also a recipient of a three-year accreditation with commendation from the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. The center includes the Stephen D. Hassenfield Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, the Hospital for Joint Diseases and the Smilow Comprehensive Prostate Cancer Center. In its most recent rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked NYU Langone nationally for cancer care.
