The center receives more than $140 million in research funding per year, a portion of which comes from the National Cancer Institute's Specialized Programs of Research Excellence grants, enabling patients to have access to hundreds of clinical trial led by Mayo physicians and scientists. Mayo Clinic's various hospitals were ranked highly for cancer care by CareChex this year, and its Minnesota and Arizona locations are Blue Distinction Centers for Complex & Rare Cancers.
