Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC (Houma, La.). Terrebonne General Medical Center offers cancer care through the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC. This year, the center was the only one in Louisiana to be recognized by the national Quality Oncology Practice Initiative Certification Program, meaning it is certified for three years for outpatient hematology-oncology practices that meet quality standards. TGMC also received the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award this year.
