University of Colorado Hospital (Aurora). More than 30 clinicians make up the University of Colorado Hospital's department of neurosurgery, with specialization in complex cranial and skull-based surgery. The hospital's neurosurgeons currently participate in three ongoing clinical trials and several other research projects to advance treatment for brain tumors and degenerative disorders. The University of Colorado Hospital also has a robust spine program prioritizing a multidisciplinary approach to spinal disorders and injuries. U.S. News & World Report ranked the University of Colorado Hospital No. 28 in the nation for adult neurology and neurosurgery, and No. 13 in the nation for pediatric neurology, both for 2017-18. The University of Colorado Hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center for spine surgery.
