NYU Langone Medical Center (New York City). NYU Langone Medical Center's neurosurgical volume has more than doubled in the last five years. In 2016, the medical center's department of neurosurgery reported more than 68,000 neurology patients and 14,000 neurosurgery patients annually. As of 2016, this Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery employs 194 full-time neurology faculty and 26 full-time neurosurgery staff members. This academic neurosurgery program was awarded more than $6.5 million in grant funding in 2016. NYU Langone Medical Center ranked No. 10 in the nation for neurology and neurosurgery by US News & World Report in 2017-18.
