Jefferson Health (Philadelphia). Jefferson Health spine and neurosurgeons perform more than 4,500 spine procedures annually. The department includes several esteemed specialists who have served as presidents of national organizations such as the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and their superior care earned the hospital a No. 21 ranking on U.S. News & World Report's 2017-18 list of hospitals with the best neurology and neurosurgery programs in the country. Jefferson Health is also home to the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley that, in affiliation with Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, is designated one of the nation's 14 Model Spinal Cord Injury Centers by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. Around 100 spinal cord injury patients seek treatment within the Jefferson Health system annually.
