Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital (Plano). In 2015, the 366-bed Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital completed a $25.4 million perioperative services expansion project geared toward the hospital's complex joint and spine surgery program. Through the expansion, the hospital added four operating rooms that planners designed specifically for orthopedic cases. They also built a fifth OR for scoliosis and spine surgery. Presbyterian Hospital's expansion met the region's growing demand for orthopedic procedures, and last year surgeons performed 1,284 joint replacement procedures. Texas Health Resources, the 24-hospital nonprofit health system including Presbyterian Hospital, reported 7,600 joint procedures in 2016.
