Swedish Medical Center (Seattle). Swedish Medical Center's Swedish Orthopedic Institute was one of the first facilities dedicated to orthopedics in the Pacific Northwest. The hospital is staffed by more than 80 orthopedic surgeons pioneering joint replacement procedures at four campuses across the state. Surgeons at the high-volume Swedish Orthopedic Institute perform more than 5,000 procedures annually, including more than 1,000 knee replacements. National rating organizations have taken notice of the hospital's quality of care, including CareChex, which ranked Swedish Medical Center No. 1 in Washington for major orthopedic surgery and No. 3 for joint replacements.
