Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC. The seven physicians of Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC's bone and joint replacement center are focused on providing quality orthopedic care to patients across Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. The hospital, which partners with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins to promote women's care, was ranked No. 26 in the nation for orthopedics by the U.S. News & World Report in 2017-18. The hospital's Innovation Center and Orthopaedic Program was recognized for promoting patient- and family-centered care by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, which spotlights health programs that implement innovative initiatives or tools to improve quality care and reduce disparities. The patient- and family-centered care initiative, which was piloted among total joint replacement patients, is now being implemented throughout other specialties at the hospital.
