Loyola University Medical Center (Maywood, Ill.). The 547-bed Loyola University Medical Center has a robust orthopedics program that has grown over the past decade. In 2015, Loyola's surgeons completed 10 times more total and partial shoulder replacements than in 2010. National rating outlets have taken notice of Loyola's growth, including U.S. News & World Report, which ranked the hospital among the top 50 in the nation for adult orthopedics in 2017-18. In addition, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association awarded Loyola University Medical Center's knee and hip replacement program, as well as its spine surgery program, Blue Distinction Center+ designation in 2017.
