Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. Founded as a small hospital in 1880, Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta has grown to 410 beds and is now owned by Emory Healthcare. In 2016, the hospital opened the $15 million Orthopaedics and Spine Pavilion, which has six operating suites as well as recovery bays and preadmission testing. The Orthopedic and Spine Pavilion includes 39 orthopedic specialists who treat around 3,000 patients annually. Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta is a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacement and has a less than 1 percent infection rate.
