Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.Cincinnati Children's orthopedic department is home to nine centers and programs related to musculoskeletal injuries. The department employs a "family approach" to keep parents of pediatric patients involved in their child's care plan. The department engages in 1,037 inpatient encounters and 47,406 outpatient encounters annually. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is one of few hospitals nationwide to offer treatment for brachial plexus injuries through its Brachial Plexus Center, founded in 2002. Fourteen faculty members and three clinical fellows head up the research and training activity in the division of orthopedics, which reports an average of $116,149 in total grant award dollars per year. Cincinnati Children's ranked No. 4 among the best children's orthopedic hospitals for 2017-2018 by U.S. News & World Report.
