Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia orthopedics division maintains nine locations across the state. In addition to being able to treat nearly 100 different orthopedic conditions, the department comprises a research team of internationally recognized leaders in pediatric orthopedic and musculoskeletal research. The 21-member research team from the Biomedical Research Program in Pediatric Orthopedics at CHOP seeks to understand how different bones and joints form and acquire their distinct shapes and structures, as well as how to treat certain pediatric musculoskeletal disorders more effectively. CHOP's orthopedic division was ranked the No. 2 best hospital for pediatric orthopedics for 2017-18 by U.S. News & World Report.
