Scripps Health offers four Primary Stroke Centers in San Diego, including one at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, the first hospital in North San Diego County to be recognized as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. U.S. News & World Report named Scripps La Jolla Hospitals and Clinics — which includes Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla — as high-performing in neurology and neurosurgery for 2015-16. Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is also Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence and has earned the Stroke Care Excellence Award from Healthgrades for 2015 and 2016.
