Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center (West Islip, N.Y.). CareChex ranked Good Samaritan Hospital — part of Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health Services of Long Island — the No. 1 hospital in New York state for women's health for 2017. Established in 1993, the Good Samaritan's Breast Health Center is the first comprehensive program on Long Island and the second center of its kind in the state to earn three-year accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. This year, Healthgrades granted the hospital its Labor and Delivery Excellence Award, Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award and Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award.
