Penn Presbyterian Medical Center includes Penn Orthopaedics, which recently opened a new location, the Penn Musculoskeletal Center. The center includes a medical staff of 18 and, along with clinical services, offers rehabilitation, diagnostic and pain medicine services. Penn Orthopaedics offers fellowship programs and includes the McKay Orthopaedic Research Laboratory, which includes more than 100 research personnel and six principal investigators. Research expenditures at the laboratory total more than $5 million per year. The medical center is a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacement and one of the top 50 hospitals in the United States for orthopedics as ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
