UNC Hospitals (Chapel Hill). UNC's Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is a research and treatment hub at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with its clinical base at N.C. Cancer Hospital, the only public National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in the state. Blue Cross Blue Shield Association recognized Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center as a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers. U.S. News & World Report ranked University of North Carolina Hospitals among the top 20 cancer programs in the nation for 2017-18.
