University of Kansas Hospital (Kansas City). The University of Kansas Cancer Center provides clinical treatment as well as support and psychological services to help patients deal with cancer diagnosis and treatment. The cancer center has more than 160 researchers working across the country to advance cancer care. In 2012, the National Cancer Institute designated the University of Kansas Hospital a comprehensive cancer center and U.S. News & World Report ranked the teaching hospital among the top 25 hospitals for oncology care in 2017-18.
