Stanford Health Care-Stanford (Calif.) Hospital. The Stanford Cancer Center at Stanford Hospital, part of Stanford Health Care, is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, a nonprofit alliance of 27 cancer centers devoted to patient care, research and education. The NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center works in close partnership with Stanford Cancer Institute, which includes more than 300 basic science and clinical researchers. Stanford adopted the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Quality Oncology Practice Initiative, which provides a standard methodology and quality metrics for cancer care. U.S. News & World Report ranked Stanford Hospital among the top 50 hospitals in the nation for cancer care in 2017-18.
