Through the MSK Cancer Alliance, Memorial Sloan Kettering shares its expertise and access to clinical trials with partner health systems in Florida, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The center is also affiliated with IBM so care teams can make decisions with Watson Oncology, a cognitive computing system designed to support oncologists as they map treatment options for their patients. In 2016, the hospital secured 159 awards from the National Cancer Institute, totaling more than $85 million. The NCI designated Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a comprehensive cancer center, and U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital No. 2 in the U.S. for cancer care in 2017-18.
