Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore). The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital was established in 1973 and boasts 34 specialty centers and clinics within it. It is named after Sidney Kimmel, the founder, former chairman and CEO of Jones Apparel Group who donated $150 million to Johns Hopkins for cancer research and patient care. The name is now synonymous with cancer care excellence — U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital as No. 9 in the nation for cancer care in 2016-17.
