Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia). Fox Chase Cancer Center was founded in 1904 as one of the first cancer hospitals in the nation. It became part of the Philadelphia-based Temple University Health System in 2012. Fox Chase was a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and has been a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center since 1974. The center ranked as the No. 26 hospital in the nation for cancer care in U.S. News & World Report's 2016-17 rankings.
