Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The Cancer Center at CHOP has more than 70 pediatric oncologists and oncologic surgeons with expertise in every type of pediatric cancer. There are also 27 oncology nurse practitioners and 77 oncology nurses, among other clinicians and experts. Each year, these clinicians treat more than 500 new patients and more than 4,000 previously treated patients. They also perform an average of 80 blood and marrow transplants annually, making it one of the largest such transplant programs in America. CHOP earned the No. 3 spot on U.S. News & World Report's national ranking for pediatric cancer care.
