Stanley W. Ashley, MD. Senior Vice President for Clinical Affairs and CMO of Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston). In addition to serving as CMO of Brigham and Women's Hospital since 1996, Dr. Ashley is vice chair of surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Mass., and attending surgeon in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Center at Harvard's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Prior to joining the system, he spent seven years at the University of California Los Angeles as a professor of surgery. Dr. Ashley's research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Veterans Affairs and focuses on the pathophysiology of the small bowel and pancreas.
