Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital (Milwaukee). Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital is one of three hospitals and 25 health centers and clinics that comprise the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin network. It is the primary adult teaching affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin with 1,366 physicians, more than 1,000 students and 516 beds.
Froedtert Hospital operates eastern Wisconsin's only Level I trauma center, and it is one of two academic medical centers in the state. In its 2015-16 rankings, U.S. News & World Report named Froedtert Hospital & the Medical College of Wisconsin the No. 2 hospital in the Milwaukee metro area and the No. 3 hospital in the state. Additionally, the hospital was nationally ranked in four adult specialties. The hospital is Magnet-designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and was named to Truven Health Analytics' 100 Top Hospitals list in 2016 for the fourth year in a row.
In addition to all the specialties it offers in Milwaukee, Froedtert Hospital is a member of the Center for International Health, a nonprofit organization seeking to advance global healthcare through international health partnerships. The hospital has also partnered with United Hospital System in Kenosha, Wis., and Agnesian Healthcare in Fond du Lac, Wis., to extend its services and care expertise to neighboring areas.
