In 2014, the medical center was chosen by President Barack Obama and the U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker to win the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's highest presidential honor.
In 2015, St. David's was recognized among Truven Health Analytics' Top 100 Hospitals for the fifth consecutive year and among Healthgrades' list of America's 100 Best Hospitals. St. David's Medical Center was established in 1924 and has been serving Central Texans ever since. Services the medical center offers include cardiovascular services, emergency services, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation and women's services. St. David's also features a comprehensive stroke center, a certified chest pain center, comprehensive breast center services and the largest Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the area.
