Christus Mother Frances Hospital-Tyler's roots date back to 1937, when community leaders partnered with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth to establish Tyler's first hospital. Today, the hospital houses 402 beds and offers a complete range of services, as well as Tyler's only neonatal intensive care unit. Christus Mother Frances Hospital-Tyler was named to Truven Health Analytics' annual list of 100 Top Hospitals for the seventh time in 2017. In 2016, CareChex ranked the hospital among the top 10 percent of hospitals nationally in medical excellence for more than 20 clinical categories.
