Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center (Panama City, Fla.). Gulf Coast Community Hospital opened in 1977. Today, the 196-bed hospital has hundreds of physicians that represent more than 30 specialties and subspecialties. Gulf Coast Community Hospital was recently recognized for its dedication to patient safety by being awarded an A grade in the spring 2015 Hospital Safety Score from The Leapfrog Group, which rates how well hospitals protect patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections within the hospital. Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center was named one of the 100 Top Hospitals in 2014 by Truven Health Analytics.
